The mission of Arise Orthotics & Prosthetics is to provide the best comprehensive patient care using the highest quality fabrication techniques and componentry.  As we assist our patients in achieving their goals during and after the rehabilitative process, we are committed to providing the highest standard of care through personal service, clinical experience, and patient education.

​We work with insurance companies to help meet the unique needs of our patients.  All standard billing and payment options are accepted:

Profile:

Established in 2007, Arise Orthotics & Prosthetics is an orthotics and prosthetics company treating the needs of patients of all ages and related diagnoses. The owners are Charles Kuffel, MSM, CPO, LPO, FAAOP, Teri Kuffel, JD, and Kevin Hines, CPO, LPO, FAAOP who contribute significant clinical experience and business knowledge in the orthotic and prosthetic industry.

​Charles Kuffel, MSM, CPO, LPO, FAAOP is a Certified/Licensed Prosthetist/Orthotist (CPO, LPO), educated and experienced in both orthotics and prosthetics. He is also a Fellow of the American Academy of Orthotists and Prosthetists (FAAOP), the highest honor awarded to practitioners in the profession, and awarded to only a handful of practitioners in the state of Minnesota. Additionally, Charles completed a Masters of Science in Management degree to round out his educational, business and experiential knowledge. Charles works with all levels of patients at all ages and specializes in addressing the complicated orthotic and prosthetic needs of the dysvascular diabetic population. Charles is currently a director for the Northern Plains Chapter of the American Academy of Orthotists and Prosthetists (NPC-AAOP), is a member of the VA subcommittee for the American Orthotic & Prosthetic Association (AOPA), and is an adjunct faculty member for the Master's program in Orthotics & Prosthetics at Concordia University, St. Paul. Charles enjoys spending time on educational and legislative programs to better the O&P industry.

Kevin Hines, CPO, LPO, FAAOP is a Certified/Licensed Prosthetist/Orthotist (CPO, LPO) educated and experienced in both orthotics and prosthetics. He is also a Fellow of the American Academy of Orthotists and Prosthetists (FAAOP), the highest honor awarded to practitioners in the profession, and awarded to only a handful of practitioners in the state of Minnesota. ​Kevin's primary focus is caring for the unique, custom, orthotic (bracing) needs of the pediatric population in Minnesota, and is considered an orthotic pediatric specialist. Kevin also works with all levels of patients at all ages addressing the complicated orthotic and prosthetic needs of the dysvascular diabetic population. Kevin currently sits on the O&P Advisory Council to the MN Board of Podiatric Medicine, the board for the American Academy of Orthotists & Prosthetists (AAOP) and is the immediate past-president of the Minnesota Society of Orthotists, Prosthetists, and Pedorthists (MSOPP). Kevin enjoys spending time on educational and legislative programs to better the O&P industry.

​Teri Kuffel, JD is a Minnesota attorney who brings significant business experience in orthotics and prosthetics to the company. She received her juris doctorate from Mitchell Hamline College of Law in St. Paul, MN and has worked with contract, human resources, and organizational management for the past two decades. Teri sits on several boards as a director for (1) the American Orthotic & Prosthetic Association, (2) the Minnesota Society of Orthotists, Prosthetists & Pedorthists and (3) Wiggle Your Toes, a MN-based amputee non-profit. Teri is also an adjunct faculty member for the Master's program in Orthotics & Prosthetics at Concordia University, St. Paul. Teri enjoys spending time advocating for amputees and those with limb-deficiencies in both Minnesota and Washington D.C. and working on educational and legislative programs to better serve the O&P industry.
