Charles W. Kuffel CPO, FAAOP

President, Clinical Director

Charles graduated from the University of Arizona with a degree in Exercise Physiology, emphasis in biomechanics and kinesiology.  He attended Northwestern University in Chicago, Illinois where he completed his orthotic and prosthetic education.  During his orthotic residency in Chicago, he treated both pediatric and diabetic patients.  During his prosthetic residency in Phoenix, Arizona, he treated both upper and lower extremity prosthetic patients.  Charles most recently spent two years working with Gillette Children's Specialty Healthcare in St. Paul, Minnesota helping to establish the orthotic and prosthetic departments at the Lifetime Clinic.  Charles is also an expert faculty member of the American Academy of Orthotists and Prosthetists where he lectures on cranial remolding modalities.  Charles has spent a decade educating patients, healthcare professionals and fellow practitioners in the utilization of orthotics and prosthetics.

 

Kevin L. Hines, CPO

Clinical Manager

For the past 26 years Kevin has specialized in lower extremity prosthetics and all levels of adult and pediatric extremity bracing, trauma and rehabilitative care.  Prior to joining Arise, Kevin spent 13 years establishing the O&P programs at Park Nicollet Systems and Tria Orthopedic Center.

 

 

Teri P. Kuffel, Esq.

Vice President

Teri is a Minnesota attorney who brings significant business experience in orthotics and prosthetics to the company.  She received her juris doctorate from William Mitchell College of Law in St. Paul, Minnesota and has worked with contract, human resources and organizational management for the past decade.  She also teaches business courses for online colleges including the Minnesota School of Business.

 

Joanna Kenton, CP, Orthotic Resident

Certified Prosthetist, Orthotist

Joanna graduated from Crown College in St. Bonifacius, Minnesota with a bachelor of science degree in Family and Child Development.  She attended Century College in White Bear Lake, Minnesota where she received her certificate in prosthetics.  Joanna worked as an ABC registered prosthetic technician and completed her prosthetic residency at Gillette Children's Specialty Healthcare in St. Paul, Minnesota, where she treated pediatric and adult prosthetic patients.  Joanna is currently enrolled in the orthotic practitioner certification program offered by Newington College, Newington, CT.

News:

November 2007 - Arise O&P opens in the Blaine Medical Center.

February 2008 - Joanna Kenton, CP joins Arise Orthotics & Prosthetics.

March 2008 - Charles W. Kuffel lectures on prosthetic advancements at the Minnesota Nurses Association annual meeting.

June 2008 - Arise O&P begins weekly clinic at Twin Lakes Medical Center in Roseville, MN.

July 2008 - Darlene Rengo joins Arise Orthotics & Prosthetics.

December 2008 - Arise O&P begins bimonthly clinic at  St. Michael's Hospital in Sauk Centre, MN.

October 2009 - Arise O&P obtains ABC facility Accreditation.

January 2010 - Charles W. Kuffel elected as  NCOPE Board member.

January 2010 - Charles W. Kuffel elected as President of the Northern Plains Chapter of AAOP.

March 2010 - Charles W. Kuffel lectures in Guadalajara, Mexico with Marty Carlson CPO, FAAOP.

May 2010 - Charles W. Kuffel lectures at ISPO in Leipzig, Germany.

June 2010 - Arise O&P and Tamarack Habilitation open combined patient care facility.

June 2010 - Kevin Hines, CPO joins Arise Orthotics & Prosthetics as Clinical Manager.
