Established in 2007, Arise Orthotics & Prosthetics is an orthotics and prosthetics company treating the needs of patients of all ages and related diagnoses. The owners are Charles Kuffel MSM, CPO, LPO, FAAOP, Teri Kuffel Esq., and Kevin Hines CPO, LPO who contribute significant clinical experience and business knowledge in the orthotic and prosthetic industry.
Charles is a Certified/Licensed Prosthetist/Orthotist (CPO, LPO), educated and experienced in both orthotics and prosthetics. He is also a Fellow of the American Academy of Orthotists and Prosthetists (FAAOP), the highest honor awarded to practitioners in the profession, and awarded to only a handful of practitioners in the state of Minnesota. Additionally, Charles has completed his Masters of Business Management degree to round out his educational and experiential knowledge. Finally, Charles is a director for the Northern Plains Chapter of the American Academy of Orthotists and Prosthetists (AAOP) and is the Immediate Past-Chairman of the National Commission for Orthotic and Prosthetic Education (NCOPE).
Kevin is a Certified/Licensed Prosthetist/Orthotist ( CPO, LPO) educated and experienced in both orthotics and prosthetics. Kevin's primary focus is the management of the pediatric population in regards to their orthotic and prosthetic needs. Kevin is the Immediate Past-President of the Minnesota Society of Orthotists, Prosthetists, and Pedorthists (MSOPP) and was involved in passing State Law to ensure that patients receive proper care and coverage for their prosthetic needs.
Teri is a Minnesota attorney who brings significant business experience in orthotics and prosthetics to the company. She received her juris doctorate from William Mitchell College of Law in St. Paul, Minnesota and has worked with contract, human resources, and organizational management for the past decade. Additionally, she teaches online business courses for Ashford University and Minnesota School of Business along with writing business curriculum for various schools offering degrees in orthotics and prosthetics. Finally, Teri has been nominated to the board of directors for the American Orthotic and Prosthetic Association (AOPA).
